Job Description
AbsenceSoft is hiring a product manager to work closely with engineers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive product development from discovery to delivery. You'll be responsible for setting a clear vision, prioritizing initiatives, and ensuring that the team builds products that meet user needs while aligning with business objectives.
This role requires both strategic and hands-on execution, as you’ll define roadmaps, lead discussions with customers, analyze market trends, and measure success based on data driven insights. What You’ll Do
- Own and drive the product roadmap for your area, balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
- Conduct user research and gather insights to identify pain points, opportunities, and unmet needs.
- Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and successful execution.
- Define and ensure tracking key success metrics to measure the impact of new initiatives.
- Effectively communicate product strategy, priorities, and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support go-to-market efforts.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and competitive dynamics.
- Champion a user-first mindset and advocate for thoughtful, data-driven decisions.
- Participate in a highly compliant environment while assisting to maintain company controls and security within your job role.
- Other duties as assigned.
What’ll Set You Up for Success
Required Skills:
- 2-5 years of product management, product owner, customer support, implementation, or business analyst experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience defining and driving a roadmap in a collaborative environment with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality, impactful work with clear examples of problem statements, design processes, and outcomes.
- Strong ability to balance business, technical, and user needs.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and make data-informed decisions.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment.
- A strong track record of problem solving and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality
- Startup / high growth startup experience is a strong plus

- This is a full-time, mid-level, salaried position.

- The salary range for this role is $120k - $170k
