As NewAmsterdam pharma continues to build out our CMC team, we are looking for a Manager, Supply Chain. The ideal candidate is someone who has a “roll your sleeves up” mentality and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The Manager will leverage their experience to identify opportunities that add value to both the short and long-term work which proactively mitigates risk across the supply chain. This role will report to the Senior Director, Supply Chain.

 

Key Qualifications:

 

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Generate and manage supplier-specific purchase orders in alignment with supply agreements
  • Ensure purchase orders comply with supplier contracts, pricing terms, and lead times
  • Execute and maintain ERP/MRP system transactions (e.g., Business Central) for purchasing, shipping, and inventory

Inventory Management

  • Maintain and reconcile accurate inventory records across multiple sites, ensuring sufficient safety stock and reorder levels.
  • Develop and distribute monthly reports on stock status and future inventory projections.

Logistics & Distribution

  • Arrange and monitor domestic and international shipments of API, bulk drug product, and finished goods.
  • Generate and review shipping documentation in compliance with global customs and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot logistics activities, including customs clearance, damage claims, and courier performance.
  • Manage relationships with freight forwarders and evaluate new shipping lanes or vendors as needed.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to ensure timely and compliant material availability.
  • Support the Quality team with shipping deviation investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in or lead supply chain process improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and compliance.

 

Requirements:

  • BS in science, engineering, supply chain or related discipline, APICS, CPIM, certification preferred
  • 5+ years supply chain experience in the pharmaceutical industry, launch experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with manufacturing technologies and ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Deep knowledge and application of: International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (GDP) guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency
  • Exceptional project management skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Exceptional collaboration skills working with cross-functional partners both internally and externally
  • Experience establishing and maintaining exceptional working relationships and communicating across the organization and with external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to identify both short and potential long-term problems and resolve them in a proactive and collaborative manner
  • Problem solver with excellent analytical and written and verbal communication skills
  • Remote position, east coast residence; travel as required by work assignment
