The EU Commercial Legal Ops. Specialist will help to ensure regulatory compliance within the SEON organization.
This role can be Hybrid and based out of Budapest.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the legal team in drafting and negotiating various contracts and modifying existing ones according to SEON's guidelines.
- Systematize already signed documents and manage the contract database
- Shadow experienced colleagues in drafting and negotiations
- Participate proactively in legal research, anticipating and identifying legal and regulatory risks
- Develop talk tracks and explanations regarding SEON’s role as a fraud prevention solution, data processor, etc., to outside parties
- Remain up-to-date on relevant industry, consumer protection, advertising, IP, and privacy laws and regulations, including fraud prevention and money laundering
- Research and monitor SaaS/Software industry compliance requirements (relevant regulations, standards, frameworks).
- Evaluate internal operational and procedural compliance.
- Review data protection agreements and IT security requirements, balancing business interests with clients’ needs.
- Respond to RFI questionnaires and incoming customer inquiries.
- Maintain an internal compliance knowledge base to support the Business Development department with incoming inquiries.
- Analyze and updating existing compliance policies and related documentation.
- Communicate compliance policies and guidelines to the C-Suite and designated teams.
- Develop and execute new compliance policies and procedures as required.
- Assist in applications for compliance certification and regulatory approval (E.g. business permits).
- Create and maintain ISO 27001 and SOC 2 (security) controls. Cross-mapping between control frameworks.
- Train employees on industry compliance requirements.
What You’ll Bring:
- Holding a JD or paralegal degree, bar exam is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of MS Office, especially Word.
- Multilingual proficiency is a plus (Hungarian and English is required).
- Precise and not afraid of contacting internal and external stakeholders.
- Have excellent attention to detail and execute tasks with precision
