Role

Design and Implementation of integrated nanofiber cavity systems

Design of Fiber Bragg Gratings and implementation of control functionalities.
-
Surface processing of nanofibers using thin film deposition techniques, and inspection of devices using electron and atomic force microscopy.
Qualifications
-
Must have MS or MEng before beginning the role.
Requirements
-
Over 3 years of experience in the development and handling of laser, free-space optics and fiber optics (including experience at the undergraduate or graduate level)

Ability to design and evaluate optical fiber and photonic circuit devices at a high level.
Desired Experience and Skills
-
Expertise in the following domains:
-
Experience of evaluating the surface quality of optical devices with scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy.

Experience with thin film deposition such as Atomic layer deposition.

Experience using electromagnetic field analysis software like Lumerical or COMSOL.
-
Experience with 3D CAD software.
-
Programming experience (Python, C, C++, LabView).
-
English communication skills sufficient for technical discussions.
