Role
As a member of theory group in NanoQT R&D team, research interns contribute to development of Quantum computers in Cavity QED system from theoretical perspectives, specifically in the following domains:
Development of simulator library and hardware API for cavity quantum electrodynamics (cQED) based quantum computer
Survey, develop and simulate quantum error correction scheme, NISQ quantum algorithm and analog quantum simulation methods for cQED-based quantum computers
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in a university, graduate program, or an equivalent academic institution.
Requirements
Coding experience in Python or Julia.
Fundamental understanding of quantum computation and quantum communication.
Either a basic familiarity with or a strong interest in the cQED and neutral-atom quantum computing architecture.
Desired Experience
Proven ability to design and develop software based on academic research papers.
Experience in collaborative development using Git.
Familiarity with numerical simulations related to physical systems. (quantum many-body systems, fluid dynamics, etc)
Experience in programming with languages such as C++, Rust, etc.
Experience in working with simulation libraries for quantum systems, such as qutip, quantumoptics.jl, qiskit, cirq, etc.
Compensation
JPY 2,000~ per hour.
Work Detail
Format: Remote.
Frequency: 2+ times a week.
Duration: 1 month (could be extended longer depending on progress)
