About the Role
We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to drive high-impact outcomes for our customers by delivering technical solutions, uncovering engineering challenges, and helping shape the future of the Faros platform. You’ll work directly with prospects and customers—from execs to engineers—owning solutions end-to-end, from problem discovery through design and technical implementation. This is a quota-carrying role working with Account Executives, where you’ll blend hands-on development with consultative strategy to help engineering organizations operate with clarity, velocity, and measurable ROI.
Responsibilities1. Customer-Centric Solution Engineering
- Embed with prospects and customers to understand their engineering workflows and challenges.
- Lead technical evaluations of the Faros AI platform
- Configure and extend the Faros platform to deliver immediate insights and lasting value.
- Build custom integrations, dashboards, or data transformations where needed to close key gaps.
2. Hands-On Technical Delivery
- Own the implementation of technical solutions in real-world engineering environments.
- Work across the stack—APIs, data pipelines, dashboards—to solve the customer’s most pressing needs, always keeping their business objectives at the center of the solution.
- Iterate quickly, incorporating feedback from users to improve outcomes continuously.
3. Field Feedback & Product Influence
- Identify recurring use cases and friction points across customer engagements.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to inform roadmap prioritization with grounded, field-tested insights.
- Advocate for new features that accelerate customer adoption and business outcomes.

Individual responsibility over process– We trust you to own outcomes, make thoughtful decisions, and be accountable for results.Required Qualifications1. 5+ years of experience in technical solution delivery, ideally in customer-facing roles involving complex SaaS or data platform implementations.2, 5+ years of experience in sales or software engineering with the ability to prototype and productionize lightweight integrations.3. Hands-on experience with data tooling, AI coding assistants and analytics platforms.4. Strong communication skills to engage both executive stakeholders and engineering teams in pre- and post-sales..5. Demonstrated ability to translate customer objectives into actionable technical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps toolchains (e.g., GitHub, Jira, Datadog, CI/CD).2. Familiarity with enterprise engineering organizations and modern SDLC practices.3. Willingness to occasionally travel and engage directly with customer teams. Work DetailsOur Forward Deployed Engineers collaborate in person several days a week in San Mateo, CA.Full-Time – $180,000–$280,000 On Target Earnings Annually.
