About Striga

Striga (formerly Lastbit) provides financial services infrastructure for companies in the crypto, banking & issuing space. Traditionally the cost & time associated with launching a FinTech solution whether it is a neo-bank, a business banking product or a platform has been absurdly high and complex. This is compounded 10x if you are a company that has an element of crypto in your business.

Job Description

Striga is a YCombinator-backed financial technology company with its place of operations and office in Tallinn, Estonia. We were the first entity to receive a Virtual Asset Service Provider license from the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit under the enhanced regulatory framework introduced in March 2022 and are now actively preparing for CASP authorization under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR).

Striga provides infrastructure for European businesses to build compliant financial and crypto-asset services without having to manage complex regulatory and technical requirements. Launching products that combine crypto-assets, euro fund flows, and payment card issuance often takes years and involves significant legal, technical, and compliance challenges. Striga simplifies this process by offering a comprehensive, developer-friendly platform that enables businesses to build and launch financial applications significantly faster, supported by our robust technology and integrated compliance framework. We operate as a high-performing team with a strong focus on product quality, security, and compliance.

Role

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior AML Operations Officer (or Officers) to join our team. • Escalate suspicious activity in accordance with internal escalation protocols.
  • Contribute to the development, improvement, and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and operational tools.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to AML/CFT and other subjects related to work requirements.

What we expect from a successful candidate:

  • Resides in Estonia with the right to work in Estonia.
  • Fluent working proficiency in Estonian and English (both languages are day-to-day working languages).
  • Preferably higher education in finance, economics, business, or law. Secondary education is accepted where relevant additional training and experience meet the position’s requirements.
