We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the best care possible. You will assist the dentist during procedures, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and help create a comfortable experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surgical Preparation: Prepare operatory and surgical instruments before procedures, including sterilization and setup.
- Patient Prep: Assist in seating and draping the patient, reviewing medical histories, and preparing them for surgery.
- Chairside Assistance: Provide direct support to the oral surgeon during procedures such as extractions, implant placement, and biopsies.
- Sedation Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs during IV sedation or general anesthesia under the supervision of the dentist or oral surgeon.
- Sterilization Protocols: Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and aseptic surgical environment.
Qualifications:
- Active Oral Surgery Certified Dental Assistant licensure in California
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of oral surgery dental procedures, instruments, and terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A caring and compassionate attitude toward patients.
$38.00 - $42.00 / hr
