Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team at Otterz Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, systems administration, and automation. You will be responsible for managing our development and production environments, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Manage and monitor cloud-based infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits.
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security, and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
- Document processes, configurations, and procedures to maintain transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
