We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team at Otterz Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling. You will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to drive business growth and improve decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and generate hypotheses to guide further research and analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning technologies.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation.
- Document methodologies, processes, and results to maintain transparency and reproducibility of analyses.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
- Solid understanding of machine learning techniques, algorithms, and frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
