Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding scientists in a tireless commitment to patients with cancer harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Director, DMPK. This individual will lead DMPK activities to support small molecule oncology pipelines and be a critical part of the Nonclinical Development and Clinical Pharmacology (NDCP) department.
Specifically, you will:

Develop and implement the DMPK strategies to support small molecule drug discovery and development programs; Serve as a scientific leader and DMPK decision-maker in cross-functional discussions.

Serve as a DMPK function representative on multi-disciplinary teams to establish optimized characteristics of lead candidates; Design and manage nonclinical studies at CROs to understand the drug disposition profile, PK/PD and TK/safety relationship, translation of dose regimens from preclinical to humans.

Participate in implementing model-based, quantitative approaches to address mechanistic questions related to drug absorption, tissue distribution kinetics and extrahepatic elimination.

Lead IND- and NDA-enabling in vitro ADME/DDI activities to ensure regulatory success; Accountable for authoring DMPK sections for regulatory documents (e.g. INDs, IBs, briefing books, NDAs).

Work collaboratively with translational research teams and effectively contribute to developing combination strategies to support potential combination therapies of late-stage development programs.

Build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with Cancer Biology, Cancer Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Development, Toxicology, and Translational Medicines.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:

A highly motivated individual with a PhD in Pharmaceutic Sciences or a related scientific discipline, with > 8 years’ industry experience.

Deep understanding of ADME principles, extensive knowledge in developing and implementing in vitro/in vivo assays and in silico tools to characterize preclinical ADME/PK and DDI profiles of small molecules.

Strong track record in leading small molecule drug discovery programs and participating in IND submissions.

Solid knowledge and experience in the application of PK and basic compartmental modeling software.

Excellent time management, multi-tasking skills and ability to work and lead in cross-functional settings.

Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Skills:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $204,000 to $255,000 for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
