Job Description
Responsibilities:
Design and implement user-facing web applications at scale and hold up to expansion of a diverse user base. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of ZipRecruiter’s new mobile-first web applications. Responsible for analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of the mobile-first web applications design. Serve as a primary contributor to rewriting ZipRecruiter’s Subscription Platform application using Go, React, Python, and/or Ruby. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Consult with customers and other departments regarding project status, technical issues, software system design and maintenance. Communicate and deliver complex technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical. Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats requires, costs, and security needs to determine configuration of ZipRecruiter’s mobile-first web applications. Prepare reports concerning project specifications, activities, and status. Act as a leader and steward of ZipRecruiter Engineering best practices, helping to mentor other engineers and develop novel application solutions. Assign work to entry-level engineers and train users on the new applications. Position will be headquartered in Santa Monica, CA but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.
Educ./experience:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer or in a related position. Experience must include Scala, Spark, Airflow, Prometheus, Kubernetes, AWS, Grafana and Docker. Position will be headquartered in Santa Monica, CA but is a telecommuting position, allowing for remote employment from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States.

Salary range:
$105,622 - $165,000/year
