Job Description

Reporting to our Head of Talent Acquisition EU, you will be responsible for a team of recruiters / recruitment operations in Hungary. For this role, your background in any variety of recruitment functions is valued. While this role is not focused on hands-on recruitment, you may occasionally step in as needed. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing recruitment strategies, managing client escalations, and leading the team from both a people management and operational perspective. You will act as a change agent, continuously improving the quality of our recruitment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement recruitment strategies that align with our business goals. You will not just follow existing strategies but will be instrumental in figuring them out and adapting them to meet evolving needs.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure that our hiring follows the company’s hiring location strategy and work with hiring managers to sequence their hiring needs to balance both demand and capacity.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and grow a team of recruiters as per our talent advisory model. Your leadership will extend beyond people management to include operational and strategic guidance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Meet with department heads regularly to discuss their quarterly hiring plans, provide data and market insights that help guide their hiring decisions.

  • Process Improvement: Work with your global peers to drive a high-performance hiring culture across Wise; incubate and scale new processes and tools accordingly. Ensure that we’re building robust and scalable processes, prioritizing automation where possible.

  • Stakeholder Experience: Ensure that your team delivers the best possible candidate and stakeholder experience and that we are adhering to our values every step of the way.

  • DEI Best Practices: Role-model DEI best practices to ensure that we embed diversity into the DNA of our recruiting philosophy.

  • Regional and Global Initiatives: Lead regional recruitment projects and contribute to Wise’s global recruitment initiatives.

  • Local Leadership: Act as a lead in our Budapest People / Talent team community, participate in local events, and drive a collaborative culture in our Budapest office.


Qualifications

About You:

  • You have extensive experience in building and developing recruitment teams, especially within the Volume space, recruitment functions, hiring for roles in KYC, FinCrime, Payment Operations, and ideally in Finance and CS.

  • You have strong leadership experience (5+ years).

  • You’re a subject matter expert in recruitment, able to transform ideas and best practices into embedded new ways of working.

  • You have experience in creating and executing extensive strategies.

  • You have strong knowledge of managing senior stakeholders’ needs and are able to manage their expectations effectively.

  • You are comfortable working in matrixed environments and able to engage and inspire multi-cultural teams.

  • You’re a coach, a negotiator, and a servant leader all in one; you’re focused on solving for the business whilst nurturing your team to be the best version of themselves.

Additional Information

Salary: 1,260,000.00 - 1,750,000.00 HUF Monthly
