Job Description
We are looking for a strategic and energetic north star, who will prioritize collaboration, listening, and innovation regardless of audience. In this newly established role, reporting to the VP of Strategy, the Strategy Manager will be responsible for supporting the development of our enterprise strategy with a particular focus on product strategy and jump-starting a new strategy function. Specifically, the Strategy Manager will support strategy creation through the upleveling cross functional insights, identifying any gaps in data foundations and creating actionable insights through robust analytics and modeling, sizing new growth opportunities, driving to business implications, and establishing clear strategic growth frameworks to enable prioritization and clear strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, is comfortable asking “why?” and “so what?”, and brings an understanding of the apparel industry and DTC business models, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record in contributing to growth strategies that create impact. This person will naturally exhibit excellent collaboration and communication skills and can roll up their sleeves and come alongside business partners to solve a strategic problem.
What you’ll get to do:
- Build comprehensive workplans against a key enterprise strategic question
- Lead functional teams through the strategy development process, including objective situational assessment with key learnings & insights, shifts needed, strategic pillars, clear KPIs, roadmaps, and business cases for investment
- Leverage data and insights to create alignment and build strategies to achieve 5-year goals
- Analyze retail & consumer trends to develop a comprehensive view of the marketplace including futures insights, competitor 360s, and trends in fitness, retail, and fashion with clear implications for our strategic plan
- Build price elasticity modelling for different pricing outcomes
- Develop strategic frameworks to use across the enterprise and within key strategies
Qualifications
Who you are:
- 3-4 years of management consulting experience or 7+ years of in-house corporate strategy experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred
- Energetic north star, bringing levity to the hard work
- Understands trends in retail, brand and apparel industry
- Experience with key frameworks related to product & corporate growth strategy
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving results
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data, draw actionable insights, and develop data-driven recommendations.
- Full knowledge of MS Office required including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Strong communication, research, presentation and creative skills.
