Job Description

At Zendar, we’ve developed two core technologies: a robust semantic spectrum perception pipeline using millions of training samples, achieving high-performance object detection that positions radar as a key sensor for safety and autonomy in mass-market vehicles. And a cost effective distributed aperture radar (DAR) technology that delivers 10X resolution of each single chip radar.

Your Role

In this role, you will be a member of the machine learning team, bridging our two technologies together. Our ML team is located in Berkeley, CA. You will be the first ML hire in our Paris office with the big potential for growth. This role is perfect for an ML engineer who enjoys working on all levels of the ML and perception pipeline design including model design, data collection and preprocessing, model test and evaluation.

You will work closely with our signal processing team in Paris to understand DAR technology and adopt our semantic spectrum technology to the DAR system. You will also work closely with our product team and external partners to bring our solution to market.

What We Look For

5+ years of experience in developing ML and deep neural network systems, including model design, experiment setup, model test and evaluation.
Proficiency in modern Python and C++.
Expertise on applying machine learning to perception problems such as segmentation, object detection and tracking
Deep understanding of challenges in machine learning pipeline design such as data collection and processing, model test and evaluation
Proficient in Pytorch
Familiarity with professional software development tools, such as source control (git), unit testing, and profiling
Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

Bonus Points

Good understanding of signal processing concepts such as FFT
Experience with processing point cloud data from lidar or radar
