Role Overview:
 
The IT Project Manager (PM) is a key member of the Project Management Office (PMO) team at Longevity Health Plan.  The IT Project Manager is responsible for providing structure, guidance, and management of the IT PMO function. The IT Project Manager will help achieve its goals by managing multiple important projects and developing a project management process.
 
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
 
The Project Manager (PM) handles various aspects of Project Management throughout the Longevity organization. Typical duties and responsibilities include:
 
Ensures project plans are in place, meeting milestones and completion dates, institution remediation when projects fall behind.
Assist with the development process for scoping, evaluating, development of the business case, selection of prospective software/hardware and putting the implementation project plan in place, leading implementation meetings and ensuring project implementation milestones are met.
Execution of both IPA and non-IPA
Assist with continuous improvement of Project Management tools (e.g., software) to facilitate efficient and effective PMO operations and management.
Coordinates, effectively communicates, and tracks project activities/work with all key stakeholders including project summary review meetings to communicate status on a regular
Tracks the post-implementation effectiveness of each executed project after completion by devising suitable maintenance and troubleshooting methods, evaluating adequacy of operational performance by business owner.
Ensures project budget/costs are on track with projected costs and escalates if project costs are requiring discussion and potential remediation.
Coordinates with Longevity management for prioritization of projects. Also coordinate with and other business leaders for non-IT projects to achieve appropriate Focuses organizational resources on the high/medium projects on overall project list, reporting and revisiting focus on a regular basis.
Uses effective project management techniques and software to track activities, milestones, timelines, and status.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
 
Supervisory responsibilities may include the management of a PMO and other PM’s.
 
 
 
Credentials & Coverage:
 
PMP Certification or other PM Certification preferred/
Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record and proof of automobile insurance required.
Auto insurance coverage as required by your state of residence. New employees will be responsible for providing proof of coverage prior to hire and on an ongoing basis.
 
Education and Training:
 
Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree required.
 
Knowledge and Experience:
 
Minimum of 3 years project management or equivalent experience.
Minimum of a year of effective financial and/or procurement and implementation experience.
Expert proficiency with PM software.
Healthcare Project management background preferred.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Demonstrated effective project outcomes.
Vendor management experience.
