About The Job

At Berkshire Grey, our robots run 24/7 in e-commerce and logistics environments. As our first AI Transformation Lead, you will be an owner of company-wide AI adoption and propagation transforming our business in the age of AI. You’re time will be split between scouting and advising on the fast-moving AI landscape, assisting in building out proofs-of-concept and production systems that tap into BG data sources, and orchestrating AI tooling change management and training ensuring teams are heavily utilizing what you deliver. Expect to move quickly, from idea to concept to adoption, while coaching functional leaders on what’s possible, keeping BG ahead.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain benchmark suites for evaluating new models/tools.
  • Support rapid POCs and graduate them to daily-use production.
  • Establish a secure, scalable data lake
  • Implement RPA and workflow automation to reduce business cycle times
  • Build out RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines
  • Track and continuously evaluate emerging AI tooling (models, agents, orchestration, etc.) presenting regular briefings to business stakeholders
  • Define and monitor success metrics
  • Own cloud/on-prem infrastructure budgets related to AI tooling
  • Champion best practices for AI usage and adoption

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years in building and implementing AI/ML or data-platform solutions
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of at least two AI or advanced-analytic projects
  • Strong coding skills in Python
  • Familiarity with modern AIOps tooling (data lakes, vector DBs, monitoring)
  • Proven cross-functional change-management skills; highly influential without authority
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Rapidly evaluate new AI models, technologies, frameworks and quantify business impact.
    • Stand up data pipelines and lakes (BigQuery, Snowflake, or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain trade-offs to execs, managers, and ICs alike
  • Comfortable with:
    • Windows / Linux (Ubuntu)
    • Version control (Git)
    • Issue tracking (Jira)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in AI, or Business Analytics
  • Experience with RPA tooling
  • Prior responsibility for cloud cost governance and/or AI vendor contracts
  • Data-driven mindset: profiling, statistics, Jupyter
