About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive strategic sales of G2’s Data Solutions offering into two of our most high-potential customer segments: Investors (PE/VC/Analyst/Consulting firms) and Software Vendors (Enterprise SaaS and high-growth startups). This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a track record of closing multi-million dollar data, software, or strategic consulting deals.

 

In This Role, You Will: 

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close. 

  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to drive new logo acquisition across a targeted book of investors and software vendors.

  • Build CxO and Operating Partner-level relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to key decision-makers in Research, Business Development, Product, and Procurement.

  • Translate complex customer challenges into actionable, data-driven solutions using G2’s proprietary insights.

  • Shape deal strategy, pricing, and commercial models to meet revenue goals and customer needs.

  • Collaborate closely with Partnerships, cross LOB account teams, Product, Account Managers and Solution Consulting to deliver a seamless buyer experience and accelerate time-to-value.

  • Accurately forecast pipeline, opportunity stages, and closed-won revenue using Salesforce and other sales analytics tools.

  • Contribute feedback to G2 product and GTM teams to inform roadmap and positioning based on customer feedback.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying experience selling Data, SaaS, or Enterprise Consulting services to Financial Institutions.

  • Proven track record of closing 6-and 7-figure deals with strategic decision-makers.

  • Deep familiarity with the needs and buying behaviors of private equity firms, venture capital, analyst firms, and/or B2B software.

  • Comfortable navigating C-suite conversations, particularly with Operating Partners and GTM leaders. 

  • Strong consultative selling skills and a data-driven mindset.

  • Self-starget with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.

 

What Can Help Your Application Stand Out:

  • Background in investment research, management consulting, B2B SaaS, or Enterprise data platforms.

  • Familiarity with market and competitive intelligence platforms, sales/marketing data tools, or alternative data.
