We are seeking a strategic, emotionally intelligent legal executive to serve as our Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Strategy. This individual will lead legal strategy across Aesthetic Partners, with oversight of M&A, governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working in close partnership with the executive team and Board, the General Counsel will guide legal decisions with clarity, integrity, and a deep understanding of healthcare law. This role will lead legal diligence, negotiation, and post-close integration of acquisitions, while collaborating cross-functionally—including with our COO and VP of People Operations—to ensure sound, ethical, and legally compliant practices throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as chief legal advisor to the CEO, executive team, and Board on corporate, compliance, and strategic matters
Lead legal oversight for all M&A transactions—including diligence, negotiations, and post-close integration
Manage legal risk across provider agreements, vendor contracts, and multi-state healthcare regulations
Oversee corporate governance and serve as Corporate Secretary for Board and committee operations
Ensure compliance with healthcare laws including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and state-specific scope of practice
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements (employment contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, leases, partnership agreements)
Maintain corporate filings and ensure entity compliance across multiple states
Collaborate with the VP of People Operations on employment law, internal investigations, and policy development
Proactively assess risk and advise leadership on strategic decision-making
Direct outside counsel relationships and internal legal process improvements
Oversee legal operations including contract management systems and document retention practices
Champion ethical decision-making, transparency, and trust across the organization

Experience & Qualifications

JD from an accredited U.S. law school; active bar membership
8+ years of legal experience, including both in-house and healthcare-related roles
Proven leadership in M&A transactions, particularly in healthcare or multi-site businesses
Deep knowledge of U.S. federal and state healthcare laws (HIPAA, Stark, AKS, etc.)
Strong understanding of employment and labor law in multi-state environments
Strategic, adaptable, and collaborative with strong emotional intelligence
Exceptional judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills

What We Offer

Competitive compensation with annual performance bonus
Equity opportunity reflecting commitment to long-term value creation
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match
Generous paid time off and professional development support
Hybrid/remote flexibility with occasional travel to HQ or practice locations
Target salary range: $225,000–$250,000 - can be flexible depending on experience
