Job Description

Positivo Biotechnology is a pioneering early-stage private company that is developing novel non-viral DNA gene delivery and expression systems to safely and effectively target various diseases including cystic fibrosis. We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Nanoparticle Formulation Specialist to join our team on a contract basis to contribute to our non-viral delivery platform development.
 
Position Overview:
 
The Nanoparticle Formulation Specialist will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and characterizing nanoparticle formulations for a range of applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nanotechnology, or a related field, and will be adept at using advanced techniques for nanoparticle synthesis and characterization.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
- LNP Formulation
 Develop and optimize nanoparticle formulations to meet specific project requirements.
 Characterize nanoparticle properties, including size, shape, surface charge, and stability, using techniques such as DLS.
 
- In Vitro Studies
 
 Conduct in vitro cell culture studies with DNA gene therapy candidates
 Perform necessary measurements and analysis
- Accurately and clearly document experimental procedures, analysis and results in detailed reports and in meeting presentations.
 
Qualifications:
 
- Master’s degree with more than 5 years of experience or Ph.D. in Nanotechnology, Chemistry,
Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 2 years of experience.
- Proven experience in nanoparticle formulation.
- Experience using equipment from Precison Nano, Unchained Lab, or PreciGenome is preferred
- Experience in analytical techniques for nanoparticle characterization
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot experimental issues.
