Job Description

The corporate recruiter will develop and execute recruiting and staffing strategies by identifying, recruiting, screening, and qualifying candidates who meet the requirements, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics for job openings. Provides consultative guidance to hiring managers on the recruiting process and market conditions. Collaborates with hiring managers to move identified candidates through the recruiting and onboarding process efficiently and effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conducts an intake meeting with the hiring manager to understand the needs (must have, nice to have) and roles to be filled; reviews job descriptions to ensure alignment with position requirements.  Advises the VP of HR of any required job description updates.
  • Participates in creating a recruiting strategy for each open position, identifying appropriate job boards, networks, or recruiting partners to source and build an adequate candidate pool.
  • Collaborates with HR Manager to drive activities, ensuring timely processing of identified candidates.
  • Posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital media for open positions.
  • Develops collaborative relationships with various recruiting sources (i.e., universities, technical schools, and training companies) to assist with building brand awareness.
  • May participate in virtual and live job fairs.
    Recommends candidates and assesses their qualifications by reviewing their resumes, screening interviews (prescreen and organizational fit), and assessments.
  • Schedules hiring manager interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other selection materials.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
  • Extends approved verbal offers to candidates and secures verbal acceptance.
  • Completes offer letter requests with offer details to the VP of HR to generate offer letters.
  • Sends out rejection letters for candidates not selected to move forward in the process.
  • Conducts reference checks for selected candidates.
  • Provide weekly written recruiting reports to hiring managers with an active opening.
  • Collaborates with other HR colleagues to ensure offer and administration activities are completed.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Infrequent travel (10%) may be required to various recruiting events.
    Other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or human resources is preferred. 
  • 3+ years of related recruiting experience managing the entire lifecycle (sourcing, interviewing, offer process) is required, and prior experience in a technology company is preferred.  
  • Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for the recruitment of experienced professionals at all levels.
  • Experience with benchmarking, data analysis, and metrics is preferred.
  • Strong professional presence with the ability to effectively influence hiring managers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team.
  • Must be assertive, take initiative, and be a proactive change agent.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and be flexible to changing workflow and demands.
  • Proven ability to multi-task with multiple job openings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable recruiting policies, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for various roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
