Finance BP and Business FP&A are sub-departments of Finance. It aims to improve management efficiency, reduce financial risks and strengthen budget control by providing business analysis and management reports.

About the Role
 
As the FP&A manager at ByteDance, and part of the Global finance team, you will be empowered to be the key contributor to ByteDance's continuing success in the NA region. This role is based out of our LA office. The new hire will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and act as a strategic partner to key global functions such as content partnership, operations, and marketing. You will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and developing financial processes. You will be a key member of the finance team, working closely with other finance business partners, as well as cross-functional teams across the organization.

Responsibilities
 
- Carry out the financial planning process of the NA/Global operations business: develop short-term and long-term budget plans, monitor budget and inform business leaders on trends, update the budget and financial forecasts periodically
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to drive business growth and improvement
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes
- Prepare and present financial reports and preparations to key stakeholders and senior management in the region
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment with company goals and regional market-specific initiatives
- Stay up-to-date on the global business landscape and market trends to identify financial opportunities and risks
- Mentor a team of finance business partners
 
Qualifications
 
Minimum Qualifications
 
- Experience in financial management, preferably in content, media, or a high-growth tech company
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in financial software and tools

Preferred Qualifications
 
- Prior experience with SQL and advanced experience in using Microsoft Office Package and experience with EBS/SAP is a plus
- Experience working across various locations/timezones and global organizations
- Knowledge of US-GAAP, IFRS rules, and SOX compliance
- Experience with financial modeling and process improvement
- MBA/CPA is a plus

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $91000 - $205000 annually.​
 
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
