Savant is a rapidly growing (seed: $11M) SaaS company aiming at building an all–in–one platform for analytics automation. In this “analysts‘ home in the cloud”, business analysts with any technical backgrounds and in all industry verticals can explore, experiment, build, share, and automate analytics projects to extract business insights timely and reliably. We are building for analytics what UIPath has built for data entry. It is a $25B market and growing fast!
The founding team has worked together for 5+ years and has deep experience in the analytics space. Their entrepreneurial journey has taken them through multiple successful companies, including Lattice Engines (acquired by D&B), Drawbridge (acquired by LinkedIn), Clearwell (acquired by Symantec), Data Domain (acquired by EMC), 3Par (IPO), and Hyperion (acquired by Oracle).
We are looking for a technical lead of platform development to join our engineering team of humble, intelligent, passionate, and dedicated members. You will work on the brain of Savant Analytic Automation Platform to orchestrate tens of thousands of analyses in real time. You will lead a globally distributed development team, establish scalable engineering processes, guide the technical direction, and work with the CTO to define and execute the product & technology roadmap. Responsibilities

Work with product managers and architects to understand business needs, propose technical solutions, complete the software designs/development/debugging and problem solving issues.

Analyze, architect and design highly scalable and high-performance components, and data flow/processing/analysis infrastructure/tools of Big Data predictive analytics SaaS based platform.

Lead the team members to implement software application features end2end while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development framework and processes by analyzing, designing, and developing test cases and implementing automated test suites.

Investigate production and customer issues. Conduct code reviews with other engineers and developers to surface design and implementation issues.

Utilize the following tools and technologies: Big Data technologies, SaaS (Software as a Service) platform. Programming languages and frameworks including Java, Spring, Agile. Design patterns and architecture design principles.
Qualifications

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science/ComputerEng/related and three years of related experience.

Must have at least three (3) years experience in the following technologies/skills: Big Data technologies, SaaS, Java, Spring, Agile, design patterns and architecture design principles.

Position permits working from home office anywhere in the US. May/can telecommute.
