Product Owner, Product 
 
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Product Owner to join our growing team. This role will work with other members of the Product team, Development, QA, and UI/UX. This position will have high impact and high visibility on executing the product road map. What You’ll Do: 
 
Product Vision 
 
Define product features according to the strategic vision 
 
Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with the company's goals and objectives. 
 
Lead the development process utilizing technical aptitude and becoming subject matter expert of product in development  
 
Work alongside the Scrum Master to ensure that commitments are met and any re-prioritization decisions are fully informed 
 
Product Backlog  
 
Manage and prioritize product backlog items 
 
Maintain and groom the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development. 
 
Adjust and improve each iteration of the product before release 
 
Identify areas for improvement 
 
Keep customers and stakeholders informed of the status of the product 
 
 
Collaborate 
 
Guide the development team by defining the vision behind product features  
 
Collaborate with the Product Manager, business analyst, and software engineering team, adhering to Agile principles. This collaboration involves shaping requirements/user stories, integrating feature requests, assessing development workloads, and arranging backlog items in order of priority and refinement. 
 
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and business analysts, to ensure successful product development and delivery. 
 
Assist the Development, QA, and UI/UX teams to meet the objectives of each sprint 
 
Plan and coordinate product releases, including defining scope, coordinating with development, testing, and other teams, and ensuring timely delivery. 
 
Communicate 
 
Act as the main point of contact between teams and stakeholders providing regular updates and gaining feedback 
 
Define detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications that guide the development team in building high-quality features. 
 
Support the development team throughout the development cycle by elaborating user stories and advising on priorities. Keep track of industry best practices and continuously suggest process efficiencies for the development team. 
 
Continuously gather feedback from users and stakeholders to iterate on the product, making improvements based on data and insights. 
 
Organize the end-of-sprint demos to communicate to internal stakeholders the output of each sprint. Validate whether features have been completed and decide when they will be released 
 
Product Release 
 
Evaluate and determine if the product developed fits the acceptance criteria

About You: 
 
8 years’ experience in the IT industry with at least 1.5 years of experience in a product owner role 
 
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum) and experience working in Agile teams alongside scrum masters 
 
Demonstrated passion to continuously improve processes  
 
Comfortable within a startup environment  
Ability to focus on driving the tactical and execution phases of product development 
 
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and to balance multiple projects with competing priorities and dependencies  
 
Knowledge of product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Aha!  
 
Comfortable owning multiple product teams simultaneously  
 
Must be organized to keep track of various projects and milestones 
Strong attention to detail and accuracy; highly organized/systematic 
 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
 
Experience working with leadership to present status and/or escalate risks 
 
Experience working with technical teams (software engineers, developers, design, etc) 
 
Ability/desire to thrive in a service-oriented culture 
 
Desire and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, concepts, and methodologies 
 
Driven to make a difference
