Job Description
Skycatch is looking for an experienced QA engineer to lead verification and validation of our suite of interconnected products. This is a special opportunity to impact the end user experience that is changing the way thousands of large construction and infrastructure projects work globally.
Our customers rely on Skycatch products to deliver high accuracy and ease of use the first time, and every time. In this role, you will be the first line of defense for that expectation by ensuring that no bugs get to production. With thousands of users globally, you’ll be blazing a trail in a very new and rapidly growing market with massive impact.
What you'll do:
- Work very closely with Product Management to turn PRDs and designs into complete and correct test plans and test procedures spanning one or more interconnected products that require extreme precision and have safety implications
- Plan, execute and report on system integration tests to verify and validate system behavior and performance
- Analyze test results and decide pass/fail, troubleshoot and scope the issue, make recommendations for severity and resolution, and drive it all the way to bug closure
- Create test analysis and execution scripts to automate verification and validation tests
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in QA, testing, debugging, and test automation in software
- Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging for software and hardware
- Experience working with one or more of the following programming languages: Node.js, C++, Python
- Ability to work with local and global development team and customer base
- Must be excited to travel to test and customer sites
- Must be excited about international travel
Bonus points for:
- Experience testing hardware products and embedded software
- Experience with computer vision, LIDAR, or thermal imaging
- 3+ years of programming experience with Javascript
- Foreign languages. Especially: Japanese, Chinese, Spanish
