About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Localization Specialist to join our team. Reporting directly to the Localization Manager EMEA , this role combines translation expertise with cross-functional collaboration. As a Localization Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless translation and localization of marketing content into Spanish, maintaining accuracy in tone, meaning, and format. This role also includes creating original Spanish-language editorial content and ensuring the quality of all translated materials.
This position is integral to the success of our marketing efforts in Spanish-speaking markets, requiring close collaboration with internal stakeholders to align localization work with broader marketing goals.
Location- Bucharest, Romania or Remote anywhere in Romania
What You’ll be Doing
Translate and localize marketing content into Spanish, ensuring accuracy in meaning, tone, and cultural relevance
Conduct research into industry-specific terminology to ensure high-quality translations
Check the quality of translated material, proofreading for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy
Write editorial content in Spanish based on topics provided by the marketing team
Collaborate closely with internal team members to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to translations
Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders to ensure translations meet their needs and deadlines
Other duties as needed
About You
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish (C2+), with fluent English (C1)
Proven work experience as a translator, interpreter, or similar role
Excellent written communication skills
Great interest in IT topics
Excellent proofreading skills with a strong ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Strong interest in IT topics
Proactive mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Skills
Additional languages
Experience with SEO best practices or previous SEO-related content writing
WordPress experience or other content management systems
Certification in Linguistics or related fields
