The role

Strategic Finance enables SoFi to develop and execute on its growth strategy by driving financial visibility and accountability, built on strong relationships and grounded in facts.


What you’ll do:

  • Act at the Strategic Finance partner on the Operations Leadership Team.

  • Facilitate annual and quarterly financial forecasting for SoFi's Operations organization in partnership with Functional Unit leaders and in collaboration with stakeholders across marketing, product, and operations corporate finance

  • Prepare annual and quarterly internal and external materials to facilitate management discussion and analysis of key financial and business performance indicators

  • Track pacing to plan on a weekly and monthly basis intra-quarter for Operations functions, and communicate findings and resulting recommendations with finance and the Functional Unit Leaders

  • Track headcount pacing and leveling vs plan and respond to internal requests for changes to plan

  • Prepare recommendations on incremental investment or cost saving opportunities by weighing financial and strategic trade offs

  • Closely partnering with accounting to ensure and improve financial reporting accuracy

What you’ll need:

  • 12+ years of related experience, ideally in corporate finance, investment banking, investment management,  or consulting

  • Experience preparing and presenting information to key decision makers

  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs/Sheets/Slides

  • Experience with FP&A systems

  • Collaborative working style and demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional relationships

  • Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence, work ethic, a learning mindset and a positive attitude

  • Willingness to embrace unstructured environments and problems, and manipulate large data sets

  • Time and project management skills
