Job Description

Summary of Job:

Responsible for new hiring training and assisting with the development and delivery of training programs and manuals for Support Services. 

Reporting Relationship:

VP Support Service Operations

Essential Functions:

  • Provides training for Zelis associates; inclusive of new hire training as well as follow-up training as needed post-hire.
  • New Hires may report directly to the Training Team Lead for the 1-2 week of Onboarding.
  • Partners with department managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions.
  • Design effective training programs.
  • Proactively designs, develops, maintains and updates all training materials.
  • Provides retraining to existing staff in areas identified in the performance audits as not meeting the standard.
  • Works with Management to design, develop and maintain Performance monitoring tools and reports.
  • Based on observations, identifies process improvements and training opportunities
  • Responsible for providing specific SOP training materials and guiding staff through SOP implementations.
  • Performs other related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to ZELIS standards regarding privacy.

Job Requirements:

Technical Skills / Knowledge:

Has foundational proficiency in developing and delivering operational training materials.

Experience with training and adult education.

Has a background health insurance industry.

Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Zoom, internal systems, Adobe Acrobat and MS Office applications

 

 

 

Independence/ Accountability:

Requires minimal daily supervision on day to day tasks but seeks guidance on more complex tasks.

Organized and efficient. You pay close attention to detail and follow through with commitments so things don’t slip through the cracks.

Regularly reviews goals and objectives with supervisor.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

Ensures proper training of  before starting their new roles.

Provide feedback to manager regarding progress of staff during training.

Assists other departments as necessary.

Customary Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

1+ years of medical claim experience

2+ years of training experience

Great verbal communication skills

Knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel & Power Point

Strong prioritizing & organizational skills

Excellent customer service & telephone skills

Physical Demands:

  • Walking, standing and sitting
  • Long periods of computer usage
  • Handling – seizing, holding, grasping and fingering of objects, tools and controls

  • Hearing- ability to receive detailed information through oral and telephonic communication
