The Role

CM Group is seeking a strategic, data-driven individual from the media or commerce space to join our dynamic Sailthru team! This is a highly visible role where you’ll report directly to our Manager of Customer Strategy & Analytics and work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, Sales, Support, and Marketing teams.

You’ll wear both a creative and analytical hat, and play a pivotal role as a subject matter expert on all things digital. You’ll also act as the internal voice of the customer in understanding their needs from a marketing and analytics perspective. Most importantly, you’ll be an evangelist supporting our customers across our innovative suite of products and solutions.

In This Role You Will:

  • Gain and evaluate deep insights into the digital marketing and strategy initiatives on customer behaviors within the media and commerce space

  • Run quantitative and data-driven “deep dives”, developing strategic roadmaps, testing plans, and presenting recommendations to C-level stakeholders across our ecommerce and publishing clients

  • Leverage customer conversations and industry research to drive strategic & actionable recommendations tailored to our client’s unique needs and business models

  • Build robust frameworks to guide our customers on optimization tactics ranging from industry benchmark reports to consulting on best practice guides

  • Build thoughtful reporting tools & dashboards to be leveraged internally by Customer Success during business reviews and ongoing customer engagements

Who you are:

  • Executive Presence & Presentation Skills – Expertise building & delivering presentations that are coherent, well organized and compelling. Comfortable and confident presenting to large groups, including executive-level stakeholders (a “stand & deliver” presentation will be part of the interview process).

  • Communication – Ability to distill data into strategic recommendations & opportunities for our clients, crafting a clear and compelling narrative when creating and delivering client presentations.

  • Data Analytics – Appreciation of qualitative & quantitative research methodologies with a passion for utilization of data to identify strategic insights. Strong Excel skills required!

  • Fast Learner & Self-Starter – Ability to quickly learn and adopt new tools and processes.

  • Insatiably curious

  • Always looking to solve problems and figure out better ways to do things

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant digital marketing experience in media or commerce

  • Experience with customer segmentation models, digital marketing best practices, and hypothesis testing

  • Strong executive presence and willingness to jump in on customer conversations quickly

  • Power user of Excel; experience working with data to build custom metrics, reports, and dashboards or presentations

  • Proficiency with SQL (or want to learn and do so quickly) and/or business intelligence tools

  • Experience with Google Analytics and/or other web analytics packages preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Master’s/MBA a strong plus
