In this role you will.. 

  • Be the strategic lead for all things financial to support MOMA through our rapid growth stage as we head into Series B and beyond  
  • Lead our Director of Finance to drive forward all financial and accounting activities, including responsibility for overseeing monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes  
  • Ensure we deliver timely financials in accordance with GAAP, and all significant estimates and judgments have been fully documented 
  • Provide strategic oversight of FP&A activities including building and driving core financial planning processes and models for the company Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, scenario analysis, adhoc financial analysis and financial support for business development.  
  • Develop appropriate financial targets/KPIs, decision making processes and models and interact with employees at all levels of the group to harbor our communicative, collaborative culture 
  • Create and maintain a short, medium and long term financial plan as we grow for each stage of our maturity, providing ad hoc analytical support to functional leaders to support key strategic and program investment decisions  
  • Monitor progress against plans and adjust the plans as new data become available. Create financial models and support to business development transactions, corporate projects and company financing activities  
  • Prepare financial updates and analysis for Board meetings  
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement to identify, develop, and implement process changes and systems to increase efficiency, ensure accurate reporting, and build scalable accounting processes while retaining our nimble biotech culture 
  • Continuously drive improvements in simplicity, clarity, accuracy, and automation of financial reporting.  

About you:  

  • Outstanding financial professional, with a genuine passion for drug discovery 
  • Hungry to learn, and grow into a CFO, with an innate desire to make an impact 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with great attention to detail. Strong ability to present data and findings in a clear and impactful manner 
  • A visionary. strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term strategy with near-term priorities 
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to understand the needs of the scientific team, help build strong relationships, and influence technical, business, and operational decisions  
  • Strong level of proficiency with financial planning, systems, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling  
  • Champion of partnerships whether that be internally or externally, whether with scientist or business development professionals 
  • Motivation for promoting MOMAs culture of inclusion and collaboration to drive results and excitement about our mission
