About the Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the security of Crusoe infrastructure and responding to incidents as they occur. To prevent breaches, you will assess company IT risks and propose and implement solutions to address those vulnerabilities. You will work closely with the software engineering team to achieve and maintain SOC compliance and assist with audits as needed. In this role, you will also be responsible for educating employees about best practices to reduce outside threats.


  • Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot firewall systems and network connectivity
  • Ensure systems are compliant with security policies.
  • Perform vulnerability scans and security audits and ensure vulnerabilities are remediated appropriately.
  • Configure and maintain logging, monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Handle incident response for alerts generated from various sources including host logs and firewalls.
  • Assess security risks of new products and systems, and develop solutions to mitigate those risks.
  • Educate users and advise the engineering team on security best practices.
  • Analyze and respond to security events as needed
  • Evaluate and implement new security tools and other products to improve the security of our infrastructure.
  • Develop tools, documentation and processes to ensure compliance with IT security policy and standards.
  • Assist with IT security audits such as SOC2, FedRAMP, etc.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security field including new attacks and threat vectors and processes and solutions to protect our infrastructure.
  • Travel up to 20% for remote support


  • 3+ years of Infosec experience.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and relevant security risks, vulnerabilities and controls.
  • Advanced knowledge of firewalls, server and network security, authentication and access control, antivirus, and incident response.
  • Hands-on experience configuring network switches and firewalls
  • Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with Python or another programming language.
  • Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and containers is a major plus.
  • Self-starter yet knows when to ask for help, and works great in a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computers, or related experience with a focus on Networking and Security. Relevant certifications are a plus.
