We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our Commercial Data team.

We are continually receiving data from our partners, and we need you to help us make sense of it and deliver the insights that will help answer commercial questions we face every day. Our stack includes; Snowflake, DBT, Looker, Terraform, AWS Glue (spark/python), AWS S3, Python.

Some of our projects will include:

    New data model for business
    Creating data product for partners and 3rd parties off the back of new data model and scalable architecture
    Automated analysis and reporting
    Data Governance and Auditing

In this role, you will join our cross-functional team of Product Managers, Analysts and Software Engineers and work hand in hand with them to deliver reports and analysis to a huge range of internal stakeholders. Your role will be varied and challenging and it includes:

    Reviewing and maintaining our data pipeline, ensuring consistent availability and quality
    Supporting teams on data ingestion and manipulation, providing rich data outputs for end users
    Analysing our data structures and providing insights on the likely causes for changes in performance, as well as opportunities for improvement
    Developing tests and methodologies to proactively detect and correct data anomalies at source and/or manipulation
    Support internal stakeholders with reports and queries on data definitions and relationships


    Experience in analysing large, complex data sets, identifying issues and ensuring data quality
    A great communicator, comfortable working directly with engineers, product teams, analysts, and stakeholders across the business
    Impeccable experience in requirements analysis and implementation
    Ability to prioritise your problems in order to focus on the biggest issues
    Desire to change strategy through analysis and recommendation
    A keen desire to be part of the Lyst culture - fail fast, thrive on feedback
    You'll be able to spot opportunities to automate repetitive tasks
    Professional experience using an advanced level of SQL to manipulate large data sets (transactions, complex joins, CTEs, window functions)
    Expertise in a BI tool (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI or equivalent)
    Python and DBT experience would be a great bonus
