What is a day in the life of a Senior Business Operations Analyst?

  • You will work in partnership with Solutionreach leadership to identify business opportunities and build operational plans to execute against these opportunities
  • Visualize and share key data findings and best practices with stakeholders to enable better decision making
  • Design and/or maintain data integrity and dashboards for relevant business metrics
  • Streamline manual processes using automation tools (i.e., scripts, queries, reporting) to improve the business operations
  • You will also work closely with our Sales and Product team to lead and communicate strategic and operational expertise in business-related implementations

What will I need to thrive in this role?

  • 2+ years of experience in finance, IT, data science, accounting, consulting, investment banking, or strategy at a leading tech company
  • A BA or BS degree
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence software such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Domo, etc.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, as well as a working knowledge of Salesforce CRM
  • Strong business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and analytical aptitude
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment

What is the team like?

 

You will work on a team with two other operations analysts. This team frequently works cross-functionally with most of the business units at Solutionreach (Sales, Marketing, Support, Product).  We strive to help each other to perform at a high level and we always collaborate to find new ways to improve. We face challenges as a team and provide a positive and productive environment to help overcome those challenges. 

 

We help others outside our team use and understand data.  We are seen as the “brains” of the company and that reputation depends on creating trust with our business partners via great communication skills and the quality of our work. Our time is valuable and we prioritize tasks that will add the most value and find ways to automate everything else. The best part of the BizOps team is seeing the impact our work has on transforming the business every single day.

 

We also collaborate closely with other teams within the Business Operations (BizOps) organization. There is a Business Applications (BizApps) team and a Data Operations (Data Ops) team. BizApps supports the software and applications that supply most of our data, such as Salesforce and Hubspot. Data Ops works on the data pipeline that transfers data from our business applications into the tables and schemas we rely on for reporting as Business Analysts. It is important to maintain a close relationship with both teams as changes made by these teams will impact data and reporting. The Finance and Accounting teams are also a part of the BizOp org and they help to enter and maintain critical financial data.

 This position will be located in our Lehi, Utah office, with a potential flexible work arrangement (WFH/Virtual).
