We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to be a key member of our Product Management team at Code42. This person is ready to take on a new challenge and bring our ideas and goals to life! The Lead Product Designer is passionate and a pragmatic designer that can analyze customer behaviors, identify opportunities to solve problems, and create innovative customer experiences in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.You will work strategically with leaders and other designers to create and deliver customer - focused experiences.


  • Designing software that is efficient, intuitive, and compelling for security industry professionals 
  • Leading cross-team conceptual development; being a strategic thought leader in how to implement experiences that represent the most customer-centric intersection between design, business, content, and technology
  • Advocating for your design solutions and vision through storyboards, wireframes, mockups and prototypes; putting them in the context of business and user goals
  • Assessing and optimizing the performance of new and existing features by facilitating user research, reviewing performance metrics and gathering stakeholder feedback
  • Building a scalable design system and advocating for adoption and understanding across the company by communicating strategy, plans, and updates 
  • Working closely with other designers, product managers, engineers, stakeholders, users to define goals, develop product requirements and drive roadmap planning


  • Bachelor’s, or equivalent degree, in Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent professional experience with the design field.
  • 7+ years as a user experience designer, interaction designer, or similar role
  • Comfort working with a highly collaborative team in a fast-paced development environment and also running independent projects
  • Enthusiasm in communicating complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences at various levels of the organization making them feel simple and approachable
  • Experience leading Design Systems: reusable components, patterns and accessibility standards
  • Experience mentoring or leading designers on complex projects
  • Online portfolio with examples of user workflows, design mockups, design system and documentation reflecting the thinking used to solve specific customer or business problems

Bonus Points

  • Expertise in one or more of the following enterprise product spaces: Insider Threat, DLP, CASB, UEBA, SIEM, SOAR
  • Passion for facilitating design thinking workshops and other interactive sessions
  • Experience in creating content and/or designing with accessibility compliance to WCAG 2.0/2.1 AA guidelines
