Job Description

Yellowbrick Data is a rapidly growing Enterprise Data Warehouse start-up headquartered in Silicon Valley – the only credible EDW start-up alongside Snowflake. Job Overview

This role guides development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to drive product marketing. The role takes a lead role in market research, competitive insights, sales enablement, and product positioning.  The role has broad content responsibilities including messaging, sales enablement, product information, solutions content, industries information, customer case studies, and more. We are looking for someone who can strategize, build, lead create, write, present, and share the power of Yellowbrick solutions with the world. This position begins as a strategist and hands-on contributor.

We want someone with knowledge and passion for enterprise data warehousing and analytics, including a solid understanding of how to work closely with our product and sales teams to create a compelling position for the company, help define the cloud data warehouse segment, and help build an innovative go-to-market strategy. This candidate will have excellent written and spoken communications skills that carry through to easy-to-understand and compelling marketing assets. This candidate should have the ability to handle a variety of tasks requested from different constituents with timely and organized delivery.


  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product leadership on product-marketing strategy, including product positioning strategy, content strategy, market position, and organizational strategy
  • Work closely with Product Management to create product roadmaps, ensure product/market fit, and create product assets (customer facing and internal)
  • Work closely with Sales on enablement, building out competitive battlecards, sales training materials, sales & marketing plays, and working closely with sales operations on building presentations
  • Work closely with Marketing and the CMO on awareness plans, ensuring that we’re building out solid comms, press, and influencer programs
  • Interface with influencers, including analysts and other relevant influencers
  • With Content Strategist, manage content creation from ideas to internal reviews to external placement and promotion
  • Manage an ongoing pipeline of customer case studies, including working with sales and communications to build a case study funnel
  • Work with Comms team on analyst strategy and work closely with analysts to help them understand the value of Yellowbrick
  • Help execute product launches
  • Manage, maintain, organize, and contribute to the competitive positioning library
  • Contribute to Yellowbrick social media efforts and in particular, identify ways to distribute Yellowbrick content through multiple channels
  • Provide Sales support where necessary for specific requests regarding proposals, competitive research, and presentations
  • Focus product marketing content efforts in line with department campaigns to drive awareness, inbound traffic, and ultimately sales pipeline and revenue


  • 10+ years of product marketing experience in high-growth start-up environment
  • Leadership roles in start-ups or enterprise environments
  • Subject matter expertise in cloud data warehousing and analytics infrastructure
  • Expertise in understanding data, telling stories and executing across channels to create a customer-focused experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills including ability to create compelling narratives for products and markets
  • Proven track record in sales enablement
  • Successfully launching and delivering new products / services into the market; ability to create clear plans and to mobilize an organization to execute
  • Demonstrate product market fit and audience segmentation
