Job Description

Fundera, at NerdWallet, is the go-to financial resource for small businesses. We’re here to help entrepreneurs achieve their financial goals and grow businesses as big as their aspirations.

As a catalyst for smart financial decisions, our combination of proprietary technology and financial expertise provides business owners with tailored solutions based on their unique needs and eligibility—helping them prosper, create more jobs, and, ultimately, grow the economy.

The Sales Operations Team works to ensure we support future growth goals with the right compensation model, tools, quantitative insights, and change management support.  Our Sales Operations Analyst will analyze sales data to identify areas of improvement, design efficient systems and processes for revenue-generating activities, and provide ad hoc support where needed.  If you’re interested in the position, here are a few things you’ll get to do and the qualifications that will make you successful in this role.

Where you can make an impact:

  • Analyze sales performance to identify opportunities for growth
  • Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to reconcile performance and process monthly/quarterly sales commissions
  • Be an expert within our Salesforce instance and sales technology stack in order to provide actionable insights and guidance for Sales management and salespeople
  • Be a “utility player” that is able to engage cross-functionally with other teams such as Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Marketing
  • Design efficient, repeatable, and scalable sales and technology processes
  • Assist salespeople and management to use Salesforce, our internal application, and other tools as needed while proactively identifying areas for improvement

You are:

  • An excellent communicator that can build rapport with salespeople, Sales management, and other departments. When you are working on a project ownership is clear, timelines are met, and updates are communicated to stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback. We run a complex organization and you are comfortable correcting something and constructively implementing it later.
  • Accountable for your decisions, assumptions, and work product.  If something can be made better, we work to do it together collaboratively.
  • Detail oriented, and understand that the little things matter.
  • Extremely comfortable with data and analysis. Spreadsheets, formulas, and automations are exciting, not viewed as a challenge or headache.
  • Interested in and comfortable with programming logic, such as what powers the automations in our Salesforce instance.
  • Intellectually curious, and show interest in understanding the “why” behind the operational choices we have made.
  • Able to work quickly and understand the intricacies of sales commission plans, our lender network, systems and tools, and overall business goals.

Your experience:

We recognize not everyone will meet all of these requirements. If you meet most of the criteria below and you’re excited about the opportunity and willing to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in economics, finance, engineering, computer science or a related field.
  • Prior sales experience a plus, but not required.

  • This role will be based in New York, NY.

What we offer:
