Job Description

The fastest-growing high school sport and Collegiate in America isn’t basketball or football—it’s esports—and PlayVS is the official platform for High School and Collegiate esports. We offer an incredible, full-stack esport platform—game integrations, team building tools, leagues, tournaments, and schedules—and our software products tie everything together into a cohesive experience.

 

We are looking for a passionate Marketing Analyst to join our team. As at PlayVS, you’ll be involved in many aspects of our decision-making process, from brainstorming to launch. You’ll combine your data and analytics skills to level up the business with insights while building a deep foundational understanding of our users, product, and growth strategy.

 

Here's what you'll get to do:

  • Design and implement an effective data and analytics plan, ensuring that we identify the most important questions and craft a detailed execution plan to answer them while operating with imperfect data
  • Partner with multiple teams to define the measures of success, develop the analysis and reporting necessary to measure, understand and improve these metrics through standardized dashboards and ad hoc reports
  • Develop measurement and experimentation strategies that allows us to confidently understand and optimize our growth channels
  • Empower the company to make informed decisions by turning our user data into actionable insights
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment to answer critical questions with data or to make decisions in a short timeframe

 

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • 2+ years experience working with multi-channel attribution and customer lifetime value models
  • 2+ years experience working closely with performance marketing teams (digital and offline)
  • Expertise using SQL to manipulate data (e.g. window functions)
  • Expertise with BI Tools such as Mode Analytics, Tableau or Looker
  • Experience using Python to clean, transform and analyze data
  • Knowledge of marketing measurement and experimentation strategies (e.g., multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, media strategy optimization, A/B testing)
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences, and influence decision-makers

 

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Python machine learning packages
  • Experience with statistical modeling methods and the ability to match business problems to the best statistical technique
  • You enjoy playing video games as much as us!
