Job Description

Black Sheep Foods is seeking a talented sales associate who will be a crucial part of the team during launch and this exciting period of growth. We’re looking for a mission-driven individual experienced with sales outreach and proven success in exceeding revenue targets. To succeed in this role, this individual will generate new business and build long-lasting relationships with restaurants, foodservice, distributors, and other sales channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading Black Sheep Foods’ sales team and establishing our sales strategy

  • Creating and strengthening sales channels and relationships across multiple geographies

  • Pursuing, developing, and closing new accounts to achieve sales goals and quotas

  • Managing and building the sales team by recruiting and developing top sales talent

  • Partnering with Marketing and Operations to maximize revenue acquisition, retention, and growth and to manage restaurant training, communications, and sales support

  • Reporting regularly on sales performance and analytics and making smart planning and projections for future growth

  • Creating presentations, case studies, and other sales materials to present competitive offerings to prospective partners

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in building, developing, and running sales strategy and operations, preferably in a start-up environment

  • Experience with opportunity management and pipeline

  • Strong understanding of sales processes and how they are enabled through CRM tools

  • Proven success in exceeding revenue targets

  • Ability to utilize data and metrics to assess current operations and make analytical recommendations for improvement

  • Ability to train, inspire, and mentor sales associates to succeed

  • Collaborative and willing to work cross-functionally

  • Experience working in tech, food & beverage, e-commerce a plus

  • Network of potential prospects or partners a plus
