Job Description

We are on a mission to help radiologists detect breast cancer earlier using deep learning.

The funding will accelerate the roll out and rapid adoption of Mia (Mammography Intelligent Assessment) to address critical challenges in breast screening services.
 
The Role
 
This role will be reporting into the Senior Scientist, and will be instrumental for Kheiron to be at the frontier of bringing AI to the healthcare industry. As a Clinical Research Statistician, you will be sat within an emerging function of the organisation, where there will be great autonomy and influence to drive the direction of this team. In this position, you will have ample opportunity to contribute to scientific research and publications.

What you'll be doing:

    • Support the development of experimental design and drive the design, development, and use of statistical methodologies for clinical studies and trials and internal testing of Machine Learning (ML) models
    • Support the documentation, communication, and implementation of our study design and statistical methodologies (e.g. in protocols, statistical analysis plans (SAPs), programming)
    • Data analysis of real world evidence (e.g. for clinical studies and trials, regulatory purposes, academic publication, research) and the development of ML models 
    • Interfacing with clinical, technical, and regulatory teams in the development of experimental designs and in translating findings internally and externally 
    • Support communicating our statistical methodologies and findings from results internally and externally  

We’d love you to join us if you have:

    • Over 4 years of extensive experience of applying statistics in an industrial setting ideally in healthcare, a CRO or a similar clinical research function within the healthcare industry
    • Experience working in depth on 6 or more clinical research projects
    • A strong statistical background, ideally a MSc, PhD or equivalent in statistics, biostatistics or in a related discipline
    • Strong statistical programming skills, ideally with experience in SQL/Python/R
    • Comfortable with prototyping and communicating through spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel) 
    • Proven experience working and querying in large, complex and messy data sets
    • Good organisation skills and ability to work to tight timelines
    • A keen excitement for working with data in depth
