About the Position
FiscalNote is regularly looking for talented and creative Quality Assurance (QA) Engineers to join our team to design, innovate, and support one of FiscalNote’s range of applications and technology stacks. We anticipate having openings from time-to-time throughout the year.
 
As a QA Engineer, you will collaborate closely with a dedicated, cross-functional team - engineers, interaction and product designers, product managers, and scrum masters - working on one of FiscalNote’s applications - FiscalNote, CQ, Roll Call, VoterVoice. Utilizing Agile methodologies and incorporating data and user research, you and your team will design, build, and deliver high quality products, features, and services to serve your end-users. Regardless of level, you will be called upon to present your work, communicate with technical and non-technical teammates and executives, and guide and mentor members of your team. 

What to Expect in this Role:

    • Create, maintain and execute test plans/test cases;
    • Leverage deploy software tools, processes and log appropriate metrics;
    • Gather, report, and maintain metrics for testing: performance and quality;
    • Responsible for the creation and management of automated test suites;
    • Participate in all phases of testing including, but not limited to exploratory, functional, regression, sanity and system testing;
    • Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure code releases to the Staging and Production environments complete successfully; and
    • Collaborate with all FN business units to find and resolve defects.

What Sets you Apart:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a foreign equivalence;
    • Minimum 3 years of manual QA experience with testing web applications in a series of web browsers and environments;
    • Minimum 3 years of experience creating and implementing test plans, test procedures, and test cases, as well as working with a cross-functional team to determine quality assurance parameters;
    • Minimum 3 years of experience writing SQL inquiries to interface with relational database management systems;
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with one or multiple in combination of the following programming languages – Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Ruby; and
    • Minimum 1 year of experience with Automated Testing and designing and creating test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
OFFERED RATE OF PAY: $104,000.00 per year
