About the Position
FiscalNote seeks a Senior IT Support Engineer to be part of the team responsible for planning, deployment, and performance of all internal IT infrastructure and systems. You will work across the entire company and focus on empowering our employees to use our various technology tools to their fullest potential. We fundamentally view technology as a universal enabler and want to make sure this position deploys the systems, documentation, training, and communication necessary to ensure that’s a reality.
 
About the Team
The Corporate IT team is responsible for all FiscalNote employee technology needs. The team supports our various collaboration platforms, email, identity, and productivity software. As a technology company, we strive to bring in the most modern tools on the market that meet all current security standards while also offering the best possible experience for our employees. We support FiscalNote employees based in the U.S., as well as, our various locations around the world.
 
About You
You are a technical expert. You have excellent communication skills and can problem-solve over the phone, in person, or via email/chat. You have a constant hunger to learn new things quickly and an obsession with automation and continuous IT process improvement. You can multi-task and have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in a broad role where you might troubleshoot a printer and design the most effective way to deploy a new IT solution on the same day.

What To Expect In The Position:

    • Be the team’s subject matter expert on MDM and device security
    • Deploy new endpoint software packages and help the security team perform various audits (such as SOC 2)
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, responding quickly and efficiently to questions from FiscalNote employees
    • Research and evaluate new products and services that help keep our IT environment current
    • Manage and support a ticketing system
    • Create training materials and document common troubleshooting steps in the knowledge base
    • Provide local and remote support to employees as needed
    • Be able to manage critical issues outside regular work hours

What Sets You Apart:

    • 4-6 years of experience in a technical support role
    • In-depth knowledge of at least one modern MDM platform such as Jamf, Intune, or Airwatch
    • Familiarity with industry-standard security certifications such as SOC 2 and ISO27001 a plus
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of macOS and Windows
    • Demonstrated experience managing Google Workspace or Office 365 environment
    • Ability to troubleshoot local network related issues (switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and other devices)
    • Must outwit printers with eyes closed
    • Proven ability to juggle competing priorities and work collaboratively
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
