GoPro is seeking a top-tier candidate for the Demand Planner, Direct to Consumer position. This position will be responsible for our direct-to-consumer demand forecast and revenue model for our camera, accessories and apparel product lines. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment. This candidate will be both highly analytical and a tactical operator, playing a key operational role as GoPro continues to shift our sales strategy to a direct-to-consumer model.


  • Own and optimize the direct-to-consumer demand forecast model across GoPro’s camera, accessory and apparel product lines. Be the expert on data trends and assumptions driving the forecast output to help guide revenue projections.
  • Automate the forecast model and build real-time reporting dashboards to enable GoPro to adapt quickly to changing sales trends, as we shift our sales strategy to direct to consumer.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders (eCommerce, Marketing, Product, Operations and Finance) to continually assess demands projections. Ensure consistency of forecast assumptions across the company, including baseline trends, promotional plans, new product launches, product transitions and marketing or other strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Supply Planning to manage inventory and safety stock targets that are approved by management. Monitor SKU stock levels, identify supply risks to the demand forecast and recommend mitigating actions to eCommerce team.
  • Recommend adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends. Proactively identify opportunities and risks to direct to consumer sales plan and partner cross-functionally to build tactical plans to address.
  • Track forecast accuracy and inventory targets at the SKU level and develop action plans to improve overall accuracy and optimize inventory positions.
  • Manage product lifecycle transitions for our direct-to-consumer business by collaborating with cross-functional teams in developing inventory strategies on new and transitioning products.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for multiple teams, including the executive team

Skills We’re Excited About:  

  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical field such as investment banking, financial planning & analysis, demand planning or sales strategy & operations.
  • You are highly analytical and have experience building and maintaining financial forecasting models
  • You are operationally oriented. You love rolling up your sleeves to tactically drive and execute new initiatives. You excel at cross-functional collaboration, in order to get the job done.
  • You have experience with large data sets and data analysis. You are adept at synthesizing various data sets into automated models.
  • Self-starter: You are ambitious, action-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment. You can independently translate high-level goals into tactical plans.
  • Expert level Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong written and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge with prior forecasting software a plus
