Modernizing Medicine is hiring a Business Analyst responsible for a full range of activities from leading small to midsize projects to assisting other Product Managers on larger more complex projects. Business analysts can often tackle projects across multiple domains and handle new business domains with the same level of confidence as familiar ones. Works independently; receives minimal guidance. Industry expertise or has developed the expertise.

This person will serve as a liaison for the processes and development around product practice management functionality, and will collaborate between technical teams and internal/external stakeholders to identify core business needs, translating them into clear functional requirements.  This person will distill stakeholder research into clear functional requirements and will collaborate heavily with product managers and engineers throughout the development life cycle. Major stakeholders within this role include:

  • MMPM Client Base & Sales Prospects
  • MMPM Product/Development Team
  • ModMed BOOST Team
  • Analytics Product/Development Team
  • EMA Product/Development Teams
  • MMPM Client Base & Sales Prospects
  • Data Product/Development Team

The Role:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather, plan, design and analyze product requirements
  • Create functional requirements in the form of use cases/user stories, business processes and technology requirements
  • Document business process inefficiencies with quantifiable metrics in order to capitalize on opportunities through digital automation and transformation
  • Use comprehensive business analyst techniques and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products and solve complex problems
  • Translate user and market needs into product requirements
  • Assist product management with scoping and prioritizing requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering and product team to develop and release software solutions
  • Effectively manage multiple high-profile projects with minimal supervision

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (business administration, computer science, engineering, healthcare or related degree); Master’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of related SaaS (or similar) experience, creating functional requirements in the form of use cases/user stories, business processes and technology requirements required
  • Experience with practice management, medical, EMR/EHR softwares strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Practice Management and Revenue Cycle Management strongly preferred
  • Understanding of Health IT market and technologies preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Experience with Agile methodologies; SCRUM
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC
