Job Description

Over 80,000 businesses and millions of people use 1Password to protect their most important information. We’re a kind, curious, and customer-focused team on a mission to build the world's most-loved password manager and give people more control over their data.
As a Senior HR Program Specialist, reporting directly to the Sr Manager, HR Programs, you’ll join a collaborative and supportive HR team where your voice is valued and your insights are acted on. We ask for each other’s input, like to learn from each other, support each other's growth, share in each other's challenges and recognize each other's accomplishments as contributing to the overall success of our team.
You’ll introduce best practices and new innovative ideas to influence how we think about performance management, employee engagement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I). We value diversity and differences of opinions. We’ll count on you to raise issues and offer creative solutions. Additionally, you’ll have ownership and autonomy over the day-to-day operation and long-term success of multiple HR programs. You’ll join a team where you’re trusted to make the right decision based on your knowledge, experience and empathy for employees’ experience.
This is a Remote opportunity within Canada and United States.

What we're looking for:

    • A strong interest and passion for the employee experience with a focus on Performance Management, Employee Engagement and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I).
    • Prior experience with implementing DE&I initiatives, advocating for DE&I throughout programs and partnering with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
    • Prior experience with implementing performance management programs including conducting company-wide performance management cycles, training employees and managers on performance management, configuring and maintaining performance management systems. Experience with UKG Pro (UltiPro) is desired but not required.
    • Strong experience in project management: you can design and implement your own projects using tools and project management methodology to organize your projects, keep them on track, launch them successfully and sustain programs over time.
    • Someone who likes to introduce new ways of approaching HR programs and has the communication skills to persuade and influence others to try new approaches.
    • Someone who thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll work with people across the organization to gather information, understand their perspective and incorporate their experiences and their ideas into the HR programs that you own.
    • Experience within a high growth technology organization. You can iterate based on learnings as they happen and can and keep up with the pace of change. You are solution oriented and love tackling challenges big or small.
    • Prior experience as a HRBP and/or HR Program Specialist/Manager is preferred.

What you can expect:

    • Have an immediate impact on 1Password’s employee engagement programs now and influence how they look in the future.
    • Use your prior experience in performance management and your knowledge of DE&I in the workplace to ensure that 1Password is a safe and inclusive place where everyone can thrive.
    • Influence 1Password’s DE&I plan and serve as an advocate for DE&I - ensuring that DE&I is top of mind and codified throughout the employee lifecycle.  You also make sure that our emerging ERGs are heard and their perspectives are reflected in 1Password’s policies and practices.
    • Evolve our performance management program by owning our performance management cycles and introducing us to fresh ideas and perspectives that will lead to continuous development for our employees.
    • Collaborate with your HRBP and Learning & Development peers to modify our current practices so they respond to the performance needs of our employees and managers and to transform performance development insights into new learning initiatives.
When we say bring your whole self to work, we mean it. You’ll join a diverse and inclusive community, built on trust, support and respect. Be yourself, find your people and share the things you love. As we continue to build our global team, we welcome all individuals and do not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, education, languages spoken and veteran’s status. Accommodation is available upon request at any point during the recruitment process, should you require any please do let us know.
