HackerOne is looking for an experienced leader to join the Security Advisory Services team. In this role, you will lead a team of solutions architects in the EMEA region. The team is responsible for building and running Hacker-Powered Security programs using a broad portfolio of products and services and helping customers work effectively with the world’s largest community of hackers. 
The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge about security vulnerabilities and has experience managing a distributed team of technical experts.
This is a post-sale role inside our Customer Success function. The job can be performed on-site from our offices in London and Groningen (The Netherlands) and also remotely from anywhere in the UK, Netherlands, and many other European Union member states.

    • Attract, onboard, develop, motivate and promote a distributed team of technical solutions architecture talent
    • Enable the team to become trusted security advisors to our customers and drive a consistent and best-in-class experience for customers and hackers
    • Manage all technical delivery obligations across the HackerOne products spectrum in EMEA
    • Instill a results-oriented team culture focused on operational excellence
    • Adapt the team quickly to respond to varying customer needs using sources like sales forecasts and industry trends/insights
    • Drive strategic improvement to proof of concept win rates, NPS, retention, and renewals
    • Own a portfolio of initiatives and projects that drive our objectives and support the roll-out of new products and development of new services
    • Work cross-functionally with teams like Marketing, Product, and Engineering to drive platform innovation and address customer and hacker feedback
    • Work with our Community team to get ahead of the ask and recruit hacker talent for emerging technologies and plugging existing talent gaps

First week: During your first week, you will go through our remote onboarding process. You will meet your direct reports, your peers on the Security Advisory Services Team, and get acquainted with the Customer Success organization. There will be lots of reading and getting to know names, faces, and people! You will gain a deeper understanding of how HackerOne and specifically our Customer Success department executes our mission to empower the world to build a safer internet. 
1-30 days: During your first 30 days, you will focus on building relationships with the members of your team and the broader Security Advisory Services group while developing cross-functional connections across Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Sales. You will be shadowing active customer work that the team undertakes to learn the way we work. You will continue to acclimate to the unique HackerOne culture. 
30-60 days: During your first 60 days, you will partner with the global team to bring process and methodology creating a consistent standard of excellence across all services we provide to customers, hackers, and our internal stakeholders. In partnership with your direct team, you will also begin developing career and professional development plans.
60-90 Days: Within the first 90 days, you will partner with the global team to build a portfolio of initiatives and projects you will own, ranging from preparing and supporting new product launches to improving and developing new, innovative services for our customers and hackers.
Beyond 90 days: Empower your team to continuously seek opportunities for improvement and resolutely focus on technical excellence within customer success, meaningfully contributing to key results like NPS, retention, and renewals.

Who You Are

  • BA or BS degree in a technical discipline
  • 3+ years of experience leading a technical team in the Information Technology domain
  • 3+ years of experience in areas like application/product security, penetration testing, vulnerability management
  • Confident and consultative around customers’ leaders and executives
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • You are keen on adopting best practices from the best in the world, while also relentlessly innovating to bring security into the modern, digital-first era
  • Strong leadership and a passion for nurturing careers 
  • Ability to prioritize and organize a technically complex portfolio of work, with great attention to detail
  • You have a hacker mindset and are passionate about security
