Job Description

The Scrum Master is a key role in our strategy to roll out major technology projects that will take Avetta to the forefront of innovation and excellence. This unique opportunity demands self-starters and experienced scrum masters what have successfully delivered multiple cloud-based solutions from Inception to final rollout. What you'll do:

  • Lead project management efforts on a highly visible enterprise initiative to roll out SalesForce, NetSuite, Zuora and Customer Support Platform
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, partner with product owners and engineers to drive strategic initiatives though on-time delivery 
  • Coordinates and manages dependencies across multiple scrum team deliverables to track the completion of large program initiatives and drives SCRUM of SCRUMS
  • Partners with Product Owner and manage story pre-grooming, story grooming, backlog prioritization, release planning
  • Champion measurement driven project management style by defining and actively monitoring KPI at both Project and Program level
  • Effectively manage team planning, retrospective, demo and steering committee meetings
  • Identify, remove and prevent impediments, technical/non-technical roadblocks, and distractions to maintain and improve team capacity
  • Actively drive sprint burndown, release burnup,  and provide transparency to RTM impacts and change in priority in direction to stakeholders
  • Capture and report program status to executive management
  • Coaches team to use SCRUM effectively and ensures team motivation is high at all times
  • Facilitate discussion and effectively engage in conflict resolution
  • Manage third-party Integrations by facilitating timely discussions and sharing meeting minutes to keep everyone updated of current status
  • Shield team from distractions that will impact velocity of current Sprint
  • Lead analysis and business requirements gathering to develop detailed functional requirements
  • Act as a liaison between business unit and engineering team to help define project scope
  • Conduct gap analysis, identify areas of improvements and propose new ways of improving overall productivity
  • Help drive quality by participating in testing effort as well as User Acceptance Testing efforts
  • Provide assistance as needed to prepare help and training documentation for various business units
  • Contribute to Avetta Engineering Department by sharing knowledge, assisting others, and helping Engineering Culture to improve and evolve continuously based on agile processes and principles

What we're looking for:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related area 
  • 8+ years experience in the field of Project Management using agile methodologies
  • 5+ years experience using a agile tool such as Rally or VersionOne
  • Prior experience in implementing SalesForce, CRM and Customer Support (Zuora billing and NetSuite accounting experience is a plus)
  • Technical Software development experience especially involving large complex integration projects
  • Proven experience with leading an Organization through transition to Agile
  • Experience leading diverse personalities, multiple teams, various business units and concurrent initiatives/projects
  • Proven success in influencing without authority
  • Solid knowledge of business functions with business units such as Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Billing, and Customer Support
