We at Volocopter are pioneers in the development of electrical air taxis that take off and land vertically (eVTOLs). We bring Urban Air Mobility to life, by establishing air taxis in addition to current transportation options in megacities globally. Our aim is to offer affordable on-demand air taxi services and save people time by flying them safely to their destination. In 2011 we performed the first-ever piloted flight of a purely electrical multicopter and have since showcased numerous public flights with our full-scale Volocopter (www.volocopter.com).

Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

You have the possibility to work remotely in Germany for this position. As a Corporate Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to build-up a world class Corporate Finance function. You will enhance Volocopter’s scale up by partaking in fundraising and financial matters and taking ownership of financial models as well as investor materials. Specifically, you will plan and coordinate investor, banking and other financial activities. Further, you will provide variance analysis on financial ratios, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting outlook models to reflect operational adjustments . The role will include consistent exercise of independent judgement and complete discretion in company significant matters, as well as strict attention to detail. An ability to set and meet tight deadlines will be critical for success.

  • Manage and coordinate live transactions as well as interact with stakeholders as you build your network and experience
  • Manage due diligence processes
  • Familiarity of various funding instruments (equity/debt) to address the specific needs of Volocopter and the optimization of our capital structure
  • Assist in the legal and documentary requirements connected to the deal execution of a diverse range of equity and debt funding events
  • Responsible for asset financing and leasing
  • Provide support for the investor relations team in new and existing investor relationship management
  • Work together with Accounting, Controlling & Treasury functions to optimize Volocopter’s finance processes
  • Responsible for day-to-day and ad-hoc corporate finance reporting & analytic requests with accurate and timely information
  • Planning and coordination of special finance projects


Check in your professional skills:

Required skills

  • Advance degree in business, finance, economics or other relevant field
  • Ph.D., MBA or CFA is a plus
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with a Tier 1 firm (investment bank, consulting firm or fast-growing technology startup)
  • Proven numerical skills, including demonstrated ability of financial modelling skills, applied confidently and consistently in a high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrated ability to independently handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Credibility and gravitas with both external and internal stakeholders
  • Strong intellect, combined with excellent commercial and analytical skills
  • You are a teamwork enthusiast looking to work in a diverse and ambitious environment
  • Willingness to travel
  • Business fluent in English
  • German is a plus
