Since launching in 2018 Zopa has been at the forefront of innovation in the motor finance industry, utilising the cutting-edge technology that underpins our digital bank to create great products and experiences for both consumers and our partners. With the launch and funding of Zopa bank in 2020 we are on a mission to grow our motor finance business and get our products in front of more customers by optimising our lending strategy, working with our existing distribution partners to improve our offering, as well as growing our reach through new partners and innovative distribution channels.
The role would suit a highly motivated candidate with a background in motor finance who is interested in joining one of the top digital lenders in the UK, helping to set the direction for our growth, product, and distribution strategy in the motor finance sector.

A day in the life:

        Combining analytical ability and commercial acumen to identify growth opportunities, be it serving new customer/asset segments, new products or better ways of doing things, and then working closely with credit risk and other internal stakeholders to drive these growth initiatives to completion
        Managing the commercial relationships with our 3rd party introducers from inception, onboarding, through to delivery and monitoring. Understanding their needs as well as Zopa’s to create compelling commercial proposals. Working with internal stakeholders (Legal/Compliance/Credit) and a cross functional product team to deliver these
        Discovering new and innovative ways of distributing Zopa’s motor finance products through partners/intermediaries that enable us to reach more customers, whilst delivering commercial value to both Zopa and our partners
        Utilising a combination of insight from our customers, data, and partners identify new products that can serve customer needs that our existing products do not

About you:

        You’ve got an understanding of the motor finance industry, the products and the stakeholders that form the ecosystem
        You’ll ideally have experience of working in a consumer credit business in a commercial, product or credit role, you bring an appreciation of credit risk and its role in creating sustainable financial products
        You’ve got a proven ability to create business cases for complex projects that balance multiple trade-offs, and identify and mitigate risks
        You have strong commercial acumen and understanding of how to leverage Zopa’s products and strengths to create value
        Innovation and change, you can demonstrate when you have identified a weakness in a process or product and have actively made or proposed changes that create value for the business, customers or both
        You’re a strong negotiator & communicator. You can clearly demonstrate times when you have balanced the needs of multiple stakeholders both internally and externally and delivered outcomes that created value for all parties
        You have demonstratable analytical abilities to gain insight from data utilising a toolkit likely to be comprised of Excel/SQL
