Camino is the next-generation platform that powers permitting and licensing processes through intelligent, collaborative software. Our mission is To deliver delightful customer service solutions for our most important industry – Government. Since 2017 we’ve helped millions of Citizens engage seamlessly with their Government and we’re just getting started. Our customers include innovative agencies like Fairfax County, VA, Orange County, FL, and Syracuse, NY. We’ve raised venture capital from top industry firms such as Formation8, Storm Ventures, and GovTech Fund. 

Now is a great time to join Camino. Last year, we tripled our customers, revenue, and usage and our eyes are set on bigger goals spanning more use-cases than ever. We’ve just closed a new financing round and are ready to grow.

About the role:

We’re doing groundbreaking work at Camino but we need somebody to help tell our story. With 50+ government agencies and thousands of citizens using our software every day there’s lots to share: how we’ve made it easier to build housing in California, how we’re streamlining regulations for small business owners, and how we’re keeping people safe with remote inspection tools. As our first marketing hire, your role will be to help us hone our messaging and spread it widely as we work towards our important mission. Your primary responsibility will be creating content (case studies, webinars, social media posts) but you will likely assist in other marketing areas as we grow. 

What Excites Us:

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally with a focus on product or content

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, early stage startup (ideally venture backed)

  • Recent experience marketing enterprise SaaS software

  • Excellent copy-writing and verbal communication skills

  • An ability to craft exciting and compelling stories

  • A creative approach to sharing content - you like to experiment with non-traditional channels

  • An interest in government policy and a desire to stay on top of the latest news and trends

Core areas of responsibility:

  • Create a messaging framework and ensure consistency across all of our content, including the website

  • Interview customers and create case studies that highlight our successes

  • Regularly post on our blog and through social media channels

  • Write a monthly newsletter to excite our sales prospects about new customers and product updates

  • Work with sales to create content that helps close deals, from handouts to demo videos

  • Assist with webinars and tradeshows (when COVID-safe)

  • Stay informed about local government news and help target our messaging towards new priority areas
