We are currently looking for an Instructional Designer/Technical Trainer to create and maintain an online learning and certification program for our customers and partners. As the Instructional Designer, you will be an integral part of our team, helping to onboard new employees and work closely with customer success managers, sales reps, sales engineers, product managers, marketing, and developers, to help our valued customers and partners understand the product functionality to maximize value from their investment in WireWheel. This role will report to the VP of Product Marketing.


This means you will:

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for evaluating our needs and current practices and creating and delivering a training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides. 

  • Create and maintain an online learning and certification program for customers and partners
  • Develop a full training development plan including the creation, promotion and delivery of the training content
  • Scope, build and maintain an efficient training distribution model (live vs on-demand) that optimizing training attendees satisfaction while balancing internal resources
  • Refine the current courses and design and develop new courses as needed
  • Prototype and Prepare Online Course Modules
  • Understand SaaS platform and build training for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to bridge customer need and technology 
  • Measure course feedback and refine modules as necessary 
  • Develop and maintain certification program


What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent combination of experience and training
  • 7+ years experience in instructional design, training development, or training delivery (technical training preferred)
  • Experience with developing online training and certification programs
  • Experience in a high growth, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other content delivery platforms. Knowledge of Skilljar is a plus.
  • Demonstration of exceptional verbal, written, social, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A natural excitement and ability to learn technologies and explain technical issues to a variety of audiences, including enterprise architects, developers and management
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask/prioritize a workload of competing priorities 
  • Team players who have demonstrated they can contribute individually, as well as help others so the whole team succeeds.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
  • Experience in developing online training for B2B SaaS products
  • Interest in SaaS technology, able to learn the ins and outs of the product(s) quickly. 
  • Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools
  • Experience in designing technical course content
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Certification such as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) is preferred, although not required
  • HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript experience is preferred, although not required
